How long does it take to recover from anterior hip replacement?
The anterior approach allows them to return home the same day or the next day.
Recovery Time: Because the posterior technique involves cutting muscles around the hip joint and giving them enough time to repair, the recovery time is longer — generally two to four months
​By 3 weeks, most patients after the anterior approach are very functional
